In the next exciting step of our 'journey to net zero' we took delivery of 6 11.2kW Ecodan air source heat pumps from Mitsubishi Electric.
These low noise units are designed to be operate outside and withstand temperatures as low as -20°c.
And thanks to Gareth and the team at Ian Lew plumbers, these clever units are now installed in situ and awaiting connection to the rest of the new system. The guys have already worked tirelessly stripping out the old heating system and replacing it with new pipework and radiators.
Once fully connected, these units will work by extracting "heat" from the surrounding air and use it to heat a large accumulator tank of water to a temperature warm enough to heat our entire building.
